Clinique eyeshadow quad palette cream, brown, darker cream/peachy, dark brown is excellent. Easy to apply. Long wearability. Lasts into the evening when used with eyeshadow primer (I'm using Smashbox shadow primer). Cost is somewhat reasonable. As I haven't used without primer, my review is based on use with primer.
Rating 4/5.

Swiffer 360 - love, love love
I love the Swiffer 360. As I'm only 5' tall, it is wonderful for getting high spots. Works great for ceiling fans, window frames, along the ceiling/wall, top of cupboards. The kit comes with the "wand" with adjustable swiffer holder and three swiffers. It was on sale at Wal-Mart, yay! I give this a 5 out of 5 big, big time!!
I wouldn't steal for Stila - product review Smudgepot and In the Know Eye Pallette
Went to my local Shopper's Drug Mart for some cosmetics. For this purchase, price point wasn't priority, so I went for Stila Smudgepot in brown and In the Know eyeshadow palette. Hmm, not so impressed.
Smudge pot - do not like it at all. It is cakey, crumbly and dry. Even when I apply it with a wet liner brush, I still found it difficult to apply. Because it is so dry, it crumbles during application, requiring some cheek clean up. Did the name Smudgepot mean smudge on your cheeks and under your eyes?? Not so sure. Wear duration, not so great either. I can't even give this product a 2 out of 5.
In the Know Eyeshadow Palette - love the colours of this palette. Nice cream, sandy orange, terracotta, three shades of brown and browny medium and dark grey. Shadow applies nicely with brushes and colours blend well. My love stops there. Wear duration - not good at all. Even with an eye primer, colour doesn't last. As this isn't a portable palette and I'm not a touch up kinda gal, it just doesn't work for me. Very disappointing. This is Stila and I had high hopes, plus the colours are so nice. I keep going back to the palette hoping for a miracle that the product will stay. Still no miracle. I am giving this a 3 out of 5 because of the colours and if you don't mind touching up, you'll be pleased.
The eye palette came with a grey eyeliner. Goes on nicely, but it bleeds through the day onto under eye. Boo, not good. Rating 1 out of 5.

March Break Guilt
March break is almost over and I feel GUILTY. The kids and I haven't done anything except play lots of Rummy. This is the issue with March break. I take vacation to be with the kids, but I also always need time to decompress at this time of year. So it's a rough time for doing things. I have a hard time feeling energetic enough to do anything (even grocery shopping can be a challenge), don't want the kids bored, but don't want to spend loads of money either. What to do?
Are we the only family not on a trip this week? It seems like everyone can afford a cruise, trip to Disney or to a warm destination resort. It's almost a competition to one up the next person about what they did with their kids and where they went. This leads to more guilt. I want to give everything to my kids and wish, wish, wish I was the Mom who skis, goes skating, likes tobogganing and all that jazz. But I'm not. And during winter I want to hibernate. I couldn't even finish dog obedience class with Pug because I didn't want to go out of the house in the evening.
I hope one day the kids will understand......

3:00 am and I should create a blog
I woke up at three this morning and started to think about writing a blog. Many things came to mind; how do I start? What will I write about and will anyone actually read it? I immediately answered one question: even if no one reads it, I've always wanted to write and it is healthy for the mind. I need all the mind health I can get!
At lunch today I told my sixteen year old son Jrvy about my early morning blog inspiration. He said I should do it. I shrugged it off and the afternoon went by. Then I was sitting on the couch, hubby gone to pick up our nine year old daughter Trina, Jrvy was gone to his friends and I'd visited all my normal news and celebrity gossip sites. I decided to search "best blog provider" and here I am.
I'm really not going to write a history of my life, this really isn't an autobiography. I am married for over ten years, was married prior for five years and have two kids.
I don't want my hubby to read my blog. I'd like to be as forthcoming as I want to be and as free as a bird, at least here.
I think I'm going to enjoy this .... As long as I don't have too many three am inspirations. Need my sleep.
